The objectives of the Center are to:

  • Improve the health of Tennesseans through awareness and education programs based upon various disease state initiatives.
  • Increase the percent of Tennesseans immunized for flu and pneumonia.
  • Increase the awareness of poisoning treatments.
  • Increase access to the Southern Poison Control Center's resources.
  • Utilize the University of Tennessee's resources to facilitate the improvement of the health care of Tennesseans.
