4-H Youth Development

4-H is a youth organization that provides fun, educational experiences to many children around the world.  In Carter County, all 4th through 6th grade and some 7th students are enrolled in 4-H and participate in 4-H clubs that meet during school hours.  4-H also offers many optional experiences including summer 4-H camps and 4-H Project Groups that meet after school.

We know that behind a successful 4-H’er stands a 4-H parent providing encouragement, support, and guidance.  We hope you will encourage your child to participate in 4-H activities, afterschool project groups, and 4-H camps.  If you are interested in being a 4-H Volunteer or have any other questions, please email us or call us at (423) 218-9935.

Do you want to keep up with all the things going on in Carter County 4-H? Sign-up for our electronic newsletter! We will be sending out events such as day camps, project groups, and other activities 4th -12th grade students can get involved in when they are announced throughout the year.
